How does the map mode work?

We cycle through all 50 states in a deterministic daily order. For each one we say "Click X" and you click it on the SVG map. Three attempts per state, then we move on. The share grid shows your accuracy state-by-state.

The /daily MCQ resets at 00:00 UTC. The /archive page keeps the last 90 days of daily puzzles, each at a permanent /daily/YYYY-MM-DD URL.

Is the map cartographically accurate?

No, the v1 map is a 6×8 schematic tile grid (Alaska top-left, Hawaii bottom-left). It is fast, mobile-friendly, and unambiguous. A real Albers projection is on the roadmap.

How are the daily MCQ questions chosen?

The dataset is the 50 U.S. states with capital and Census Bureau region. Each day we deterministically pick 10 states and ask one of three question types: state→capital, capital→state, or state→region. Same seed across users guarantees the same questions in the same order.

Yes. Every /daily/YYYY-MM-DD URL is permanent and serves the same questions to anyone you send it to.
